Psalms 1: A Cry for Help

When will I see tears of joy flowing down my cheeks?

when will I laugh and cry out for the joy inside me?

my weeping is filled with sorrows,

I look at my life and I see the emptiness inside it,

as if You are a God of fake promises,

is it my sin?

is it the enemy overpowering me?

what is hindering me?

why can’t I take a step into the blessing?

are You still preparing me?

or has someone put a boundary over me? and is that someone me?

maybe by my words,

or maybe my thoughts of self sabotaging,

whatever the reason is I need You God to intervene in this,

the help I need is beyond human intelligence,

the help I need is from a God who truly loves me,

so help me God and restore me,

may Your promises come true to me,

for I am Your son indeed,

fulfill Your promises to me,

for Your glory’s sake,

and for the sake of Your Son who died for me.

Amen.
