Psalm 3: True Love

Love only makes sense when I am with You, God,

love is only complete when I invite You into my life,

it is even insulting to call something “love” when it’s clear that God is far away from it,

true love is pure and holy,

it does not compete but easily lets another win,

true love is a competition of humility,

between people trying to serve one another,

true love is Godly,

there is no other standard for love than what our God has himself provide,

true love is a fight,

it always battles to drive all fear away from the heart,

true love is a character,

it has actions to back up and not merely feelings which falter,

true love is unconditional,

it is not dictated by false hope nor base itself by the conduct of others,

true love forgives,

for even God had to forgive our sins just to show that He indeed loves us,

true love is married to the truth,

for love without truth cannot stand and truth without love leaves hate in its wake,

true love gives,

so say goodbye to your time, to your treasure and to your talents,

and true love is always expressive,

it takes one to open up to another, it took One to lay down His life for another.
