“Our Lives Speak Louder Than our Words”

Ultimately

our lives speak louder than our words

the empty promises we put across

don’t really matter

if our lives are filled with nothing but apologies of “I promise I’ll never do that again” for a hundredth time.

— —

Our lives speak louder than our words

not our actions by the way

few heroic acts don’t compensate for a life filled with timidity

a toy on your daughter’s birthday

doesn’t make up for your label of “an absent father

and going to church every Sunday

doesn’t make you spiritual either

for what is the use of going to church every Sunday

while you live far away from God every other day?

— —

Let us pray that our lives speak louder than our words

let our lives tell the world of our integrity without us trying to convince with our words

let our lives say “love” without exception and without a hint of hate

let our lives introduce us to the world

let our words be mere icing on the cake.
