Chemistry

I still remember the spark we had,

still reminiscing on the few best years of the past,

those moments were fun,

and not to forget all the kisses of passion,

the boring conversations that made sense to us,

what a time to be alive we thought,

sometimes,

what went wrong?

is the only question in my mind,

I could’ve sworn we won the best couple in town!

(even if it was just in our minds)

what couldn’t be solved?

(my ego finally rested in your presence,

what more could you want!)

I even had money saved for our wedding,

hell! I even wanted to take you to the Maldives,

what wasn’t enough?

is the question I ask myself sometimes,

was it too much loving?

no,

you said chemistry was gone,

chemistry,

the true love,

the friendship,

the date nights,

the respect I had for you,

the entire configuration of our lives to be compatible,

all that was nothing,

chemistry, hormones, feelings,

is all that mattered to you.
